WHAT IS THEBLUE ZONE?

The Blue Zones are specific regions in the world where people live significantly longer and healthier lives than the global average, often reaching 100 years of age or more. These areas were identified by researcher and author Dan Buettner, who found that certain lifestyle factors contribute to the longevity and well-being of the inhabitants. The five officially recognized Blue Zones are:

  1. Okinawa, Japan

  2. Sardinia, Italy

  3. Nicoya Peninsula, Costa Rica

  4. Ikaria, Greece

  5. Loma Linda, California (Seventh-day Adventist community)

Residents of Blue Zones typically share common habits such as eating a predominantly plant-based diet, engaging in regular physical activity, maintaining close social ties, managing stress effectively, and having a strong sense of purpose. These lifestyle practices, along with favorable environmental and cultural factors, help promote exceptional longevity and vitality.

Health Restoration

The study of Medicine 140 years ago was predicated on the study of anatomy down to the cellular physiology and molecular biochemistry with the attempt to restore, at each level, the molecular / cellular function back to normality or what we call “homeostasis” (balance).  It’s a fact that disruption of God’s perfectly designed creation led to disease and dysfunction. The brilliance of the powerful masterminds such as scientific researchers and clinical physicians, to develop the magnificent tools, instruments and techniques which they implemented to facilitate their understanding of this magnificent entity we call the human body; is truly incomprehensible.

The objective , has perceived back then, was to bring health by restoring normal function to the level of molecular reactions that eventually brought cellular function to normality and overall balance to the organ and the systems to follow. 

If you look back at medical textbooks from over a century ago, it would not be unusual to see that physicians studied the importance of nutrition. The anatomist, seeking more knowledge and understanding would explore deeper into the cell and its proprietary functions would now be called the Physiologist. Chemists, evolved from the alchemist of millennia prior had investigated the chemicals or phenols in plants that had medicinal / healing effects. What’s more, the chemist would now dare to venture in the cell and find chemical reactions that attributed to proper cellular function. Chemists will now be considered biochemists.  

The term BIO- means living organisms. For according to the Merriam – Webster Dictionary Biology is defined as the laws and phenomena of life. Therefore, abide by the laws set forth in the universe by the creator and one will have health and vitality.

Dr. Sal has been a practicing otolaryngologist and plastic surgeon for 30 years.

Over his three decades of practice, he’s grown deeply concerned over the growing dependence on medication, quick fixes, and poor nutrition that is rampant in our society.

A dedicated man of the church, he believes that God’s will for our lives is to live in great health. Through his podcast, he hopes to help you align your mindset with what God wants for you so that you can improve your life and transform your health.

In 2009 he performed more facelifts than any surgeon in America and went on to more full body cosmetic surgery. I have been bodybuilding since age 15 and states this is where I learned most about diet and nutrition and their benefits to health which was never taught in medical schools. After 30 years of watching how people die, my calling is now restoring health to the way God intended.
